Brazen Profit LabI love featuring incredible content from emerging designers and future fashion moguls, on Brazen Profit Lab. I’m also always open to in depth how-to articles from skilled marketers who feel they can help my audience.

Before you submit a guest post to Brazen Profit Lab, please read the following guidelines very carefully.

Brazen Profit Lab House Style:

I’m sure before you even considered that BPL would be a great place for you to become a guest contributor you read at least three articles on the website, right? Should that not be the case, naughty you! Here are three articles you should read before you decide whether this blog is a good fit for your writing style and content:

http://www.brazenprofitlab.com/branding/how-to-create-a-brand/

http://www.brazenprofitlab.com/email-marketing/email-marketing-for-etsy/

Topics we love:

Everything we do at BPL is designed to help new and emerging fashion designers grow their online business. That’s all we do. Always: Topics my audience love, are:

  • SEO tips for online fashion stores
  • Social media automation tips
  • Outsourcing tips
  • Shopify tutorials & tips
  • WordPress tutorials & tips
  • Advice on creating better product videos and images
  • Traffic generation strategies, specifically paid Facebook ads
  • Content marketing tips
  • Email list building strategies
  • eCommerce marketing strategies that have specifically worked for you - please supply examples
  • Social media - specifically Pinterest and Instagram - must be in depth and contain examples and images

If you have another topic that you think may be of interest, then please let me know, but unless it’s clear how it will be of value to our audience it won’t be accepted.

Post Length:

We only publish substantial content here, so 500 word keyword stuffed posts don’t stand a chance. But there is also room for other forms of content. So, if you love creating video content or infographics, that would be considered also. The focus here is always about quality and being as helpful as possible, so keep that in mind when you submit your post ideas.

We also reserve the right to edit articles - this includes: headlines, subheadings and closing paragraphs. If you struggle with having your work edited then this is not the place for you. Likewise, if you don’t edit your own work before you send it in, it’s very, very unlikely to be published on BPL. Only send us work you’re proud to put your name on and we can be proud to support.

Images:

Please make sure that all images you use in your content are properly attributed to their original source or are owned by you. Any images that are not attributed will not be used. I’m pretty sure you don’t want to pay our legal fees should there be a law suit, so let’s avoid that.

This is a authority resource for online fashion marketing aimed at fashion designers, so it stands to reason that we try and maintain a very high visual quality here. All articles should be submitted with at least one image, but we may add additional images.

Links:

I understand there is mutual gain to be had from guest posting, I guest post on other blogs myself. But there are some rules we follow strictly here:

  • No blatant self promotion of yourself, your business/product/service
  • No affiliate links. None whatsoever.
  • No links to pop-up lead boxes.
  • You will get a link in your bio to your about page or your Twitter profile. You may include two others links within your post to other content on your site. Please only include external links that support and enhance your work. No links to mailing lists or landing pages/squeeze pages. We have enough of those of our own :D

How to submit your content ideas:

Please do not send in written articles. Please send in a selection of three post ideas, including your proposed headline. Also, include a short paragraph about why you think this content will support our audience, and how long it would take you to submit your content if/once it is accepted.

When will it be published:

We have lots of requests for guest posts, and we try to publish all guest posts within 30 days of submission. All posts must be 100% original content and will be run through Copyscape. Content found to be stolen or plagiarised will be refused and the original content creator will be informed. Additionally, if we are running posts on a particular topic at the time you submit, we may hold off publishing your content until a later date, but you will be informed. Please also submit a short bio and professional headshot when you submit your content.

We require exclusivity on all the content we publish from guest contributors for at least three months. We will remove any content found to be duplicated on another site after our publication date.

When your post is live:

You will be informed what date your post is going live so you can make sure you have fresh, complimentary content on your site at the same time. We expect all guest contributors to actively promote the content that we publish under their name.

Compensation:

We do not compensate guest contributors financially.

How to get in contact:

Please send guest post submissions to: stacey@brazencopywriter.com - and include the words guest contributor in your subject heading.
